With over 20 years of experience as a practicing CPA, CA, she has become the trusted advisor to numerous successful clients. Whether you are a sole proprietor, owner-manager, shareholder of a corporation or looking for personal tax advice Susan is here to help you. Susan will walk you through the steps to make transition as smooth as possible.

Susan provides a wide range of business advisory services to clients, helping them to address potential problems before they become problems, and working with entrepreneurs to help them build better, more valuable, businesses. A key difference in Susan’s approach is that she wants you to understand your business and options. Susan will explain the options in a way that makes sense to you and assist you in coming to the conclusion that is best for you.

Outside of the office, Susan has held the position of treasurer as well as president with the Guelph Kiwanis Club. While her daughters were swimming she earned her master swim official with Swim Ontario officiating events at the local, provincial and national levels.

Lori graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She joined Curtis-Villar in 2004 and earned her CA designation in 2006 and became a partner in 2015.

After earning her designation, Lori gained a keen interest in the technical matters associated with charities and not-for-profit organizations.

Lori is the firm's main contact when there is a complex accounting or auditing issue with our charities and not-for-profit organizations. She is our firm’s resource for addressing these issues in the best way possible for our clients.

On the taxation side, Lori works with clients in a variety of different industries including real estate, restaurants, medical and veterinary practices, owner-managers, sole proprietors, etc. She has her In-Depth tax certification which is designed for the more complex tax issues that our clients experience.

As Lori provides accounting, tax and business advisory services for businesses and individuals her goal is to help her clients understand the process. Her clients appreciate that she has a non-judgmental approach to her work and explains the different options in a way that makes sense to them.

Lori has been involved in the community in numerous ways. She is the past treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Guelph’s satellite club, as well as the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.

Victoria is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Commerce program. She joined the team at Curtis-Villar in 2010 and successfully completed her CA exams in 2013.

Since joining the firm full-time Victoria has worked with our audit, corporate and personal tax clients. A large part of Victoria’s role is with the preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns for our firm’s owner-manager and small-medium size businesses. In addition to this Victoria also works as a part of the firm’s assurance team and takes the role of the audit senior on many of the firm’s charity and not-for-profit audits. 

When it comes to technology solutions for our clients, Victoria is the individual to reach out to. She is up-to-date on the current accounting solutions available as well as industry specific applications that are compatible with each accounting platform. Victoria works closely with our clients as they implement their accounting systems, as well as when they transition from one platform to another. She assists clients in making decisions as to which programs are being for their specific needs and in identifying when clients have outgrown their current accounting systems.

On top of Victoria’s role at Curtis-Villar she is also a facilitator and mentor with the Professional Education Program (PEP) with CPA Ontario. In this role Victoria marks the modules and electives that students are required to complete on route to obtaining their CPA designations.

Victoria’s community involvement has ranged from volunteering with Junior Achievement Guelph-Wellington Economics for Success program, 3 years as the treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph and currently as the president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.

Barb earned her Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation in 2015 and assists our team with all payroll related queries. In addition to this, she oversees the firm’s bookkeeping clients and assists them with a variety of needs. Barb is the main contact for our bookkeeping clients and provides them with a range of services from monthly/quarterly reporting, payroll, preparation of government remittance to bookkeeping training.
